Woodcroft Parkway at Fayetteville Street
First Bi-Lo; What Next?

In 2003, Woodlake homeowners strongly opposed a plan to build a Bi-Lo grocery store shopping center at the southeast corner of Woodcroft Parkway at Fayetteville Street (across Fayetteville from Eckerd).

In May 2005, the Woodlake Home Owners' Association was again approached with a nearly-identical plan offered offered by a different developer. Woodlake again strongly opposed it, and the proposal was withdrawn. We expect to see it again.

This 10-acre parcel, currently zoned R-20 (residential, half-acre lots), is comprised of one large lot and two smaller lots closer to Fayetteville Rd, owned by the Massey family.

We don't need another grocery store!

There are already 10 supermarkets — plus other strip malls — within a 3-mile radius. Neighbors would prefer some other use.
